It doesn’t get the publicity of Matt Forte’s situation or Ray Rice’s situation, but the Chiefs’ Dwayne Bowe is also a no show at voluntary OTAs as he has yet to sign his franchise tender. Bowe, one of the league’s better receivers, is apparently not expected back any time soon or at least Head Coach Romeo Crennel isn’t holding his breath for him.
On the situation today, Crennel said “If he’s with us, we’d like that to happen. If he’s not, then we’re going to work with the guys we’ve got here.” Bowe is guaranteed 9.515 million this season, but likely wants a deal that rivals the 55 million over 5 years than Vincent Jackson got from the Buccaneers. We’ll have to see if he gets it.
