And here’s our 2^nd WTF signing. Oh look, it was the Redskins again. Pierre Garcon is an above average #2 receiver, but he’s not a #1 receiver. He’s never gone over 1000 yards, reaching a career high 70 catches for 947 yards and 6 touchdowns last year. However, don’t try to tell Daniel Snyder that. Snyder gave him 21 million guaranteed over 5 years with 42.5 million total. Besides, receivers switching teams in the offseason rarely do as well as they did with their old team.

The fact that Garcon got more than Marques Colston (5 years, 40 million, 19 million guaranteed) is ridiculous. The Redskins are expected to pay Josh Morgan 12 million over 2 and go after Eddie Royal as well. They also resigned Adam Carriker for a ridiculous 20 million over 4 years and 7 million guaranteed. They’re expected to cut Santana Moss and Jabar Gaffney and go forward with Garcon, Morgan, and Royal at wide receiver. They’re also not expected to be able to resign London Fletcher, obviously a huge loss for their defense.
