This is the 2^nd player in as many days that the Eagles have extended despite having two years remaining on their contract. Given that Cole is 30 in October, this deals locks him up from the year he turns 32 to the year he turns 35. Given that, 13 million per year (4 years, 53 million) seems a little rich, but there isn’t a whole lot of guaranteed money (15 million) so it’s not too bad. Cole is currently one of the league’s best pass rushers.
