Donald Driver says he wants to be a “Packer for life”

Earlier this week, the agent for Donald Driver said his client and the Packers would argue to a restructured contract after Driver was done on Dancing with the Stars. Driver has since commented saying that he wants to be a “Packer for life.” This doesn’t relate much to his contract situation or make it any more or less likely that he’s retained, but it does suggest that, like Hines Ward with the Steelers, if released, Driver would retire rather than trying to catch on somewhere else. A 37 year old former 7th round pick, Driver has 735 catches for 10060 yards and 59 touchdowns in his career, all with the Packers. He’ll probably end up in Canton and have his number retired by the organization, along with former quarterback Brett Favre.
